Tor Strax

Born into war, Tor Strax was handed a blaster and vibroblade when he was old enough to walk and enlisted into an ongoing battle that pitted his clan, Clan Sanvaar against other warring clans of Boltrunians on the desert planet of Skaff in the Outer Rim. For years the wars tore every clan involved to pieces, decimating their numbers and reducing their cities to ruin. Only the strongest survived, and those were hastily put into positions of power and influence in their clan's military.
Strax defied the odds, waging war on Skaff for decades, slaughtering enemies in the thousands and garnering a reputation for one of the blood thirstiest warriors to ever pick up a weapon. Finally, when the wars died down (thanks to the intervention by the Old Republic) Strax was left out in the cold, with skills and abilities that didn't fit into the more peaceful era his planet and clan was moving towards. After politicians relieved him of his station and gave him a pittance for his service he decided to ply his trade elsewhere.
Not content with working for a crimelord or the inconsistent work of being a mercenary, and, predisposed to giving orders and preferring to do things his own way, Strax opted to try his hand at independent bounty hunter. His first forays into the business was met with difficulty, as his heavy handedness resulted in the deaths of his bounties.
While the killings were justified and Strax claimed in "self defense", it led him to the quick realization that taking bounties for "Dead" would wind up being a lot easier and more profitable in the long run. Thus began Strax's reign of terror throughout the galaxy that has lasted for over two centuries.
Utilizing a combination of skills learned through the wars of his homeland and a reputation he's built up as a ruthless hunter with no regard for personal safety or well being, Strax is a feared and notorious figure that strikes dread into the hearts of those who find out he's out there actively pursuing their bounty. They know when it comes to Strax there will be no amount of begging or pleading that will be able to save them. In fact, many bounties take their chances with local law authorities, turning themselves in at the mere knowledge that this ruthless savage from Skaff is on their trail.
Many have theorized that Strax is growing old and not taking as many bounties because of his advancing age. This could not be further from the truth, in fact, Strax is still as active as ever, but after amassing a small fortune from his acquisitions, has begun to be much more selective in the bounties he chooses to take. No longer hunting for mere credits, Strax now selects his bounties based on level of difficulty and the danger involved.
In regards to the methodology Strax utilizes in taking down his prey, his technique is very straight forward. He likes to commit the target's file to memory, then track the prey, watching for patterns or weaknesses that can be exploited. Using his previous military experience, Strax determines the best time, location and other tactical variables available to him for apprehension or elimination before he attacks. This is yet another reason he is as feared as he is- while his appearance leads one to believe Strax is nothing but a strong-armed grunt, the truth is that he is a cold-calculating hunter capable of taking down the toughest prey. Forged in the fires of war and strife, Tor Strax is not only a hunter to be feared, but respected as well.
