Bob's Thoughts:

Wow, what can be said about Celebration 2 that hasn't already? It was definitely a day to be remembered by Star Wars fans all around the globe. The day was absolutely beautiful and I don' t think they could have picked a better venue to have it than Indianapolis (at least on that particular weekend).

Kudos first off to the 501st, these guys were AWESOME! From just checking badges at the door to actually roleplaying out various encounters with the fans, these guys went above and beyond the call of Imperial duty. Thanks guys and gals of the 501st...you made the weekend what it was!
More thanks of course needs to be spread around. Big thanks to the organizers of this years con, it seemed to be a daunting task but they pulled it off well. Thanks to all of the costumers and cosplayers out there. Not only were these folks dressed to impress, they never seemed to tire of the endless picture taking and pestering by the fans...great job all around!

Unfortunately, we were only able to make it up on Saturday, but here are some observations I came away with:

Overall we had a great time. Regrets? I have a few.I would have loved to have seen Carrie Fisher, but she was actually sitting down and chatting with fans, causing her line to be about 3-4 hours long.
In closing, should you ever get the opportunity to go to a Star Wars Celebration Con, I urge you to do so. It's one of those rare events that only comes around every few years and if you are a true Star Wars fan, you will never forgive yourself if you dont go. Again, a big thanks to all of the celebrities and regular folks who made this years Celebration 2 a success!

Tony's Thoughts:

Firstly let me state again that Celebration 2 was simply fantastic. Having been a fan since I was 8, this whole experience was truly FANtastic.

Bob already has stated that the costume players were great and indeed they were. A special thanks goes out to all those 501st members who took the time to spar with my lightsaber wielding son.
All of those dressed just made the whole experience for my entire family.

I also wanted to give a special thank-you to all the attendees. There wasn't a rude or obnoxious fan in the entire crowd.
It was all Excuse me and I'm sorry and Thank-you. All in all i couldn't have asked for a better day or a better time.
While Bob was off getting those very cool autographs (an hour and a half for David Prowse!!!) I checked out some of the gaming activities that WotC was sponsoring.
The first thing I noticed was that the new trading card game that was rolled out just prior to Celebration 2 is based on a d6 system. Not that it's any particular big deal I was just surprised and amused by it.
There were about ten different places where you could get pre made characters on sets with models and roleplay out some different scenarios. Pretty cool idea, but in practice it didn't work out very well. The important thing though was that there was exposure to the RPG and the ranks will undoubtedly grow.

Well if you didn't get to attend check out our pictures and see what you missed out on.
And if there is another celebration, don't miss it. Next time, I'll be dressed as Zuckuss feared bounty hunter. ( mainly cause i ain't all that tall)

Below you will find photos of our day at Celebration 2. We met a lot of cool people and had a great time. We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them. More may be added as time goes on.
