Rumors abound about the Eye of Mintoba. Some say that several exist, others maintain that there is only one. However all the stories tell of the great power that the orb will convey to those who possess it and can learn to use it.

The sphere actually conveys force ability on those who are not force sensitive. The orb passes on such power that the wielder can become the leader of men, conquerer of worlds.

The truth to the eye of Mintoba is much darker and sinister. The sphere is a prison constructed by the Jedi protectors of the planet of Mintoba. During the height of the Great Sith War there was a powerful Sith sorcerer, Gravgar Stin, that had besieged the planet and was enslaving the populace. He would use his knowledge of Sith sorcery and transform the inhabitants of Mintoba into mindless warriors carrying out his every command.

The Jedi came to Mintoba and defeated Gravgar's sinister forces and freed the inhabitants of Mintoba. However Gravgar was too powerful for the Jedi to destroy. Once they defeated his physical form he would simply transfer his life force to another being.
Finally the Jedi devised a plan to trap his spirit. Constructing the sphere through the force and in a final confrontation defeated Gravgar and trapped his spirit in the sphere.

The prison is not foolproof however. When held by a sentient being Gravgar can communicate with them and help them tap the force to use it for his purposes. Letting the sentient taste true power and creating a taste for more and more power Gravgar eventually will try to get the sentient ready for him to possess their body.

GAME NOTES:
The orb conveys the following skill levels and powers:
SKILLS

Control: 3D
Sense: 3D
Alter: 3D

Powers:
Telekinetic Kill
Injure/Kill
Force lightning
Force Storm

Each use of the orb gives the user a dark side point. For every two dark side points gained the skill level conveyed increases by one D ( ie at 2 DS points the skills are 4 D etc.). Once the sentient reaches 5 DS points Gravgar will begin to look for weaknesses to possess the user using transfer life. Gravgar only has enough power to try this once so he will be very selective about the timing.

If the user tries to give up the orb after one use they must make a DIFF willpower roll to give up the orb and escape the influential and corrupting influence of Gravgar. After tow uses the willpower difficulty increases to VERY DIFF. After three uses the sentient will not give up the orb freely. They will fight anyone and everyone to keep it. Finally if the user is already force sensitive the user adds the skill level conveyed to their own skills.
They also receive double the dark side points and all willpower rolls are increased to twice that of non-force sensitives.
