An Argument for a 4th Thunderball Division Recently word has been passed around about a fourth Thunderball Division. Some are for the idea, some are strongly against. With all of this controversy and strife, you just know old Kabu-Si had to get in on the discussion. A fourth BXTL Division would be a great idea. Why? Profits! Adding another eight teams to this fantastic league would not only reduce the number of teams currently on the franchise waiting list, but would increase the ability for many smaller communities to bring in profits that would assist in helping renovate their cities. Why should Thunderball be ruled by the “old guard?” Why should only a select few be allowed to field teams. Now, I know some of you might argue that the emergence of the Convicts and the Nightmares into the BXTL is a sign of the league demonstrating that ANYONE can join, but this is just so much corporate maneuvering. If the BXTL lets in a few outsiders, or, even better, an outsider (can anyone say Reapers?) escalate themselves into the hallowed halls of the elitist Division 1, then the populace of this fine planet is duped into believing that brotherhood and fair play is the order of the day in the BXTL. I call for a fourth league, and furthermore, I request, nay DEMAND that cities such as Scuttlers Point, Specter Falls, and others be given first consideration when franchise rights are granted. It is time to stop looking back a century and a half into our past and begin looking to the BXTL’s future. That’s how EYE sees it anyway. |
