Rug'kka was raised by a roving band of weequays who travelled the galaxy as hired muscle. He remembered little of his parents, who were killed shortly after his birth. When he reached maturity, one of the older members of the group took him under his wing and taught him various techniques of survival and how to protect himself.
While in the employ of a Hutt, the group was slaughtered, and Rug'kka, who relied solely on his skills and cunning, managed to escape the ambush.
Heading into the mountainous regions of the planet, Rug'kka relied on the skills his mentor taught him, and managed to survive for several months. Eventually he made his way back to the planets main city, and, bartering off valuable ivory from animals he had killed, managed to secure enough currency to buy passage off planet.

Rug'kka sticks mainly to desert planets, finding the vast open spaces comforting. He usually spends several years on each planet, and, after exploring the area, will hire out his services to tourists and adventurers, saving the money so he may soon relocate again.

Rug'kka is a quiet, tolerant being, as long as his clients can keep up. He has little patience for laziness and those who cannot contribute to the group or pull their own weight, and doesnt mind telling them so.

Story Factors:
Houk Rivalry: Though the recent Houk-Weequay conflicts have been officially resolved, there still exists a high degree of animosity between the two species.

Special Abilities:
Short-Range Communication: Weequays of the same clan are capable of communicating with one another through complex pheromones. Aside from Jedi sensing abilities, no other species are known to be able to sense this form of communication. This form is as complex and clear to them as speech is to other species.
