Bio:
Born on his species' homeworld of Uba IV, Koort Ter'chon was raised as one of the proud True Ubese. He and his people lived and thrived in an environment deemed uninhabitable by nearly every other sentient race in the galaxy, and doing so has made him tough, both physically and in his mentality. On his home world, a love for technology seized him early on in life, as it did many of his kinsman. Koort channeled his abilities in that realm primarily into the mantainence and repair of personal military gear. This would serve him quite well later in life, as his professional inclination surfaced... Koort's father worked as a law-enforcement officer for his clan. He had brought a prisoner in for robbing several local businesses and killing the attendants in three of them. The criminal managed to escape from his holding cell and made a point of taking a shot at Koort's father as he fled. Unfortunately for the escapee, the shot was not fatal. Koort, who was working in a weapons shop nearby, heard the shots and rushed to his father's side. His father was able to give Koort his assailant's description, as well as that of the vehicle he had stolen. Koort ran back to his shop and spent his savings - as well as a pay advance given on the spot by the shop's keeper - to purchase several weapons and the fastest means of trasportation immediately available, an HHS thrustpack he had been learning to fly. Koort quickly caught up with the escapee and disabled his vehicle with only a few expert shots. He fired one shot through the window, rendering the man unconscious. Dragging him from the downed repulsorcraft, Koort felt rage building up within him, every instinct in him screaming that he should release a final, fatal shot into the head of the man who had nearly killed his father. Then, the thought of his father brought a new, stronger voice into the fore: This man would be brought back to face Ubese justice. Surely he would be executed, but first he would know exactly why he had to die. So Koort made makeshift binders from the seat restraints of the still-smoking vehicle, and dragged the man seven miles across the blasted landscape back to the jail. Upon arriving, Koort learned something quite interesting: shortly after his hasty departure, there had been a bounty posted for the live capture of the escaped criminal. Initially, Koort hesitated at the thought of taking money for something he had done to honor his father, but then he thought of his depleted savings and reconsidered. He dumped the man at the feet of the guard at the front desk and calmly asked, "How much for this?" Koort used the reward money to purchase a set of Ubese Raider armor, the symbol of his people's skill and pride. He worked as a bounty hunter for five years on his own world before seeking bigger and better bounties out among the galaxy's countless worlds. His father, now recovered and back out on the streets, fully supported his decision. Koort has worked for many different people along the way, including one unfortunate episode while working for Akelish the Hutt. That job had almost cost him his life, due to the interference of one of Akelish's henchmen, Lotek Skidna. When he was seeking to put Skidna away (and collect a sizeable bounty on his head), he met up with a group that also pursued Skidna for more personal reasons. Together, they took him down. Koort threw in with this "Raptor Squad," as they call themselves, for mutual benefit. He has since learned that the group often operates as a Rebel Ops cell, and he has expressed some concern over this.
